Job summary

Pace Academy in Atlanta, GA seeks an enthusiastic Associate Band Director to support its Middle and Upper School band programs. In addition to classroom instruction, the candidate will co-teach band classes, design K-12 percussion curricula, help manage performances and trips, and engage actively in fostering a thriving arts program for a diverse student body.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree (preferably in music education), percussion specialization, and demonstrated experience with

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in music education is required.
Percussion specialization is preferred.
Experience teaching Middle/Upper School band is required.
Ability to work on campus and participate in after-school activities is expected.

Responsibilities

Teaches and co-teaches Middle and Upper School band classes.
Co-teaches band classes, designs percussion curricula for all divisions.
Assists with scheduling, organizing and attending band performances, trips and events.
Fulfills administrative duties related to band program.
Engages with students and parents, leading conferences and communication.
Contributes to co-curricular activities and Pace arts programs.
Incorporates diversity, equity and inclusion in teaching and classroom culture.
