Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in music education (or related).
• Experience teaching Middle/Upper School band.
• Willingness to work evenings or weekends as needed.
• Ability to work on campus for in-person learning.
• Strong communication and professionalism with students, colleagues and parents.
• Commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion in school life.

Responsibilities

• Teaches and co-teaches all Middle and Upper School band classes.
• Schedules, organizes and attends band performances, trips and events.
• Fulfills administrative duties for a band of this scope.
• Engages with younger students interested in band.
• Prepares and defines curriculum for percussion students across divisions.
• Teaches woodwind, brass and percussion sectionals as needed.
