Job summary

FORTÉ, Inc. is hiring a field AV technician in San Diego to support client installations of integrated audio/visual technologies. This role requires attention to detail and a commitment to delivering excellent customer service on every site.

You will travel to customer sites, wire terminations, solder where needed, mount equipment, and work with basic hand tools in construction environments. AVIXA CTS or OSHA certifications are preferred, with on-the-job training if needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in service or installation audiovisual/low voltage/security systems is required or preferred.
• Proficiency with cable terminations, soldering, and mounting is expected.
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions based on customer satisfaction.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites is essential.
• AVIXA CTS certification preferred, or ability to complete within first year of employment.
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred, or ability to complete within first year of employment.
• Experience in a construction environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support installation of integrated AV technologies at client sites.
• Deliver excellent customer service on site.
• Travel to customer locations as needed.
• Assist with wiring terminations, soldering and mounting of equipment using basic hand tools.

What You Will Be Doing

You would support FORTÉ'sclients directly by assisting with installation of their integrated audio/visual technologies. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with a commitment to delivering excellent customer service.

What You Bring to Assure Success:

• Previous experience in the service or installation audiovisual, low voltage, security systems, or closely related field
• Previous experience with cable terminations, soldering, and mounting
• Proficiency with basic hand tools
• Ability to work independently, be self-directed and make sound decisions based on customer satisfaction
• Ability and willingness to travel to customer sites
• AVIXA CTS Certification preferred, or ability to complete within your first year of employment
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification preferred, or ability to complete within your first year of employment
• Experience in a construction environment preferred
