Job description

ABOUT ROSALES FINANCIAL GROUP

Rosales Financial Group, LLC (RFG) is a Certified Public Accounting and Data Advisory Firm headquartered in Atlanta, GA, with offices New York and Florida. We deliver audit, tax, forensic accounting, risk advisory, and financial systems services to government agencies, nonprofits, and private-sector clients across the country.

RFG sits at the intersection of rigorous professional standards and forward-thinking innovation. We hold ourselves to the highest professional standards, while actively pushing the boundaries of what a professional services firm can do. From AI-driven audit analytics and intelligent process mining to blockchain research and proprietary data platforms, RFG is building the next generation of financial advisory practice.

With over 100 years of combined professional experience, our team brings deep public sector expertise alongside a genuine commitment to technology-led transformation. Our mission: Better Data. Better Decisions. For All.

POSITION OVERVIEW

RFG is seeking a curious, driven full‑time Staff member based in Atlanta, GA to support active engagements across four core practice areas: Systems Advisory & Consulting Services; Accounting & Financial Budgeting; Tax Services for high-net-worth individuals and business advisory clients; and Disaster Recovery assistance. The Staff member will work alongside RFG’s public‑sector and private‑sector engagement teams, applying Professional standards while supporting municipalities, nonprofits, federal and state agencies, and growing private organizations across Georgia, Florida, and New York.

Work Arrangement:

This is a hybrid position based in Atlanta, GA. The successful candidate must be comfortable balancing remote work with in‑office time at the Atlanta office for trainings, client work, and team sessions. RFG works on an ad hoc basis as client and project needs arise, and the Staff member will be expected to travel to client sites and to engagements in Georgia, New York, or Florida as needed, with reasonable advance notice provided. After one year of employment, the Staff member is eligible to work one full month fully remote with Company approval.

RESPONSIBILITIES
SYSTEMS ADVISORY & CONSULTING SERVICES
  • Support ecosystem and financial infrastructure assessments evaluating people, processes, technology, and data flow to identify control gaps and operational improvement opportunities
  • Assist with accounting system selection, evaluation, and implementation engagements across platforms such as QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite, and Tyler — including chart of accounts design, data migration, and workflow integration
  • Support risk assessments and internal control evaluations aligned to the COSO Internal Control Integrated Framework, including segregation‑of‑duties analyses, control deficiency classification, and remediation roadmap development
  • Contribute to IT general controls (ITGC) reviews across access management, change management, IT operations, and program development, following AICPA ITGC assessment procedures
  • Support continuous controls monitoring, intelligent process mining, and AI‑assisted dashboard development using tools such as CaseWare IDEA, Power BI, Data Snipper, and RFG’s proprietary SIMBA platform
ACCOUNTING & FINANCIAL BUDGETING
  • Perform full‑service bookkeeping, accounts payable and receivable management, bank reconciliations, payroll processing, and general ledger maintenance for client engagements
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP, including compilation and review services for organizations at all stages of growth
  • Support development of budgeting and forecasting models, key performance indicators, and financial dashboards that translate accounting data into leadership decision‑making tools
  • Assist with grant accounting and fund management, including draw‑down tracking, cost allocation, and compliance reporting per Uniform Guidance (2 CFR Part 200)
  • Support fund‑based accounting, GASB compliance, and functional expense allocation for government, nonprofit, and tax‑exempt client engagements
TAX SERVICES — HIGH NET WORTH & BUSINESS ADVISORY
  • Support individual tax preparation for high‑net‑worth clients, including multi‑state filings, complex schedules (Schedule C, D, E, K‑1 pass‑throughs), and estimated payment calculations
  • Assist with business tax compliance and advisory engagements, including entity‑level tax planning, strategic tax projections, and multi‑year advisory services
  • Conduct tax research and prepare technical memoranda in accordance with AICPA Statements on Standards for Tax Services (SSTS) and IRS Circular 230
  • Support Fractional CFO and Controller engagements with cash flow analysis, tax‑aware financial planning, board‑level reporting deliverables, and strategic advisory for business advisory clients
DISASTER RECOVERY ASSISTANCE
  • Support FEMA Public Assistance project worksheet development across Categories A–G, including scope of work validation, cost estimation, and eligibility determinations under the FEMA Public Assistance Program and Policy Guide (PAPPG)
  • Assist with cost documentation and reasonableness reviews — including force account labor and equipment tracking, contract procurement compliance, and documentation quality control under 2 CFR Part 200 and 44 CFR
  • Contribute to first and second appeal preparation under 44 CFR §206.206, debris monitoring documentation, insurance reconciliation, and duplication‑of‑benefits analyses under the Stafford Act
  • Support grant management and closeout activities, including subgrant management, quarterly reporting, time extension requests, and Individual Assistance program documentation
  • Work within the FEMA Grants Portal/Grants Manager, GIS‑based damage assessment tools, and cost documentation databases to ensure accuracy, transparency, and audit‑readiness throughout the recovery lifecycle
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
  • Bachelor’s degree (completed or in final term) in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field
  • Eligibility or active progress toward CPA, CFE, CIA, CISA, or other relevant certification
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles, financial statements, and internal controls concepts
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word; comfort working with data and structured information
  • Willingness to learn and rotate across multiple service lines — systems advisory, accounting and budgeting, tax, and disaster recovery — with the curiosity to develop expertise as engagements require
  • Comfortable working in a hybrid environment with strong communication, self‑management, and follow‑through habits
  • Based in or able to relocate to the Atlanta, GA area; available to attend in‑person meetings, trainings, and client site visits, including ad hoc travel to Georgia, New York, or Florida, when requested by RFG leadership
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to synthesize research and present findings clearly

  • Exposure to FEMA Public Assistance programs, the Stafford Act, 44 CFR, 2 CFR Part 200, or federal grants management
  • Prior experience or academic projects involving government, nonprofit, or public sector finance
GEORGIA EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS & NOTICES
At-Will Employment.

This position is offered on an at‑will basis under Georgia law. Either RFG or the employee may terminate the employment relationship at any time, with or without cause or notice, subject to applicable federal, state, and local law.

E‑Verify & Work Authorization.
