Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Associate Attorney to join our Workers Compensation Defense team. The ideal candidate will assist in managing a caseload of workers' compensation defense matters, providing legal counsel, and representing clients in pre-litigation/litigation. This role is crucial for ensuring that our clients receive the best defense possible in workers' compensation claims.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and filing of legal documents related to workers' compensation cases.
• Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategies.
• Represent clients in court hearings, depositions, and negotiations.
• Negotiate contracts and settlements with opposing parties.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies and provide effective legal counsel.
• Maintain organized case files and manage deadlines effectively.
• Stay updated on relevant laws and regulations related to workers' compensation.
• Strong negotiation skills and ability to manage contracts effectively.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in the state of CA.
