Job summary

ExcelliSearch, Inc. is seeking an associate for its Insolvency & Restructuring practice in its New York City office in a hybrid setting.

The ideal candidate has 2–4 years of restructuring experience representing debtors, committees and creditors in Chapter 11 matters, with cross-border exposure preferred. A JD from an accredited law school and NY Bar admission in good standing are required, along with seating at a top 50 law school and experience at an AmLaw 200 firm.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of restructuring experience representing debtors, ad hoc and statutory committees, secured creditors, asset purchasers, and other constituents in Chapter 11 and out-of-court restructurings.
• Deposition and trial preparation experience is a plus.
• Demonstrate high academic and professional excellence with strong writing, research and analytical abilities.
• Must work well in cross-firm teams and manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• JD from an accredited law school is required.
• Admission to the NY Bar, active and in good standing, is required.
• Top 50 law school graduate and experience at an AmLaw 200 firm are required.

Responsibilities

• Represent debtors, committees, creditors, asset purchasers and other constituents in Chapter 11 and restructurings.
• Collaborate with attorneys across the firm and participate in deposition/trial prep as needed.
• Serve as integral member of high-performing, collaborative teams and manage multiple deadlines.
• Handle multiple matters in a fast-paced environment.

Our client is a global law firm and has been practicing for over 100 years. There are seeking associates to join its Insolvency & Restructuring practice at its NYC midtown office in a hybrid setting.

Main Requirements and Responsibilities:

• Between 2-4 years of restructuring experience representing debtors, ad hoc and statutory committees, secured creditors, asset purchasers, and other constituents in connection with Chapter 11 proceedings and out-of-court restructurings, including cross-border matters.
• Deposition and trial preparation experience is a plus.
• Demonstrate a record of high academic and professional excellence, strong interpersonal and communication skills, and exceptional research, analytical, and writing abilities. The associate will work with attorneys across the firm.
• Responsibility as integral members of high-performing, collaborative teams.
• Manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• A Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school is required.
• Admission to the New York Bar, active and in good standing, is also required.
• Must have attended a top 50 law school & worked at an AmLaw 200 Law Firm

The expected salary for this position is $235,000 - $310,000, plus bonus - depending on experience. The firm offers a full range of benefits for employees and their eligible dependents.
