PRIMARY RESIDENCE MUST BE IN THE STATE OF KANSAS.

We are seeking a full-time Associate Attorney to join our Kansas practice. This role involves handling a diverse caseload related to consumer protection, including transactional and civil litigation matters. As our headquarters are in New York, communication will be primarily via telephone and electronic means (email, Microsoft Teams).

Responsibilities

1. Manage and oversee a heavy and diverse caseload of clients in Kansas.
2. Communicate with clients regarding their legal matters.
3. Draft pleadings, motions, legal memoranda, and review or draft agreements.
4. Negotiate and communicate with opposing parties to resolve claims.
5. Conduct legal research on issues related to contract law and consumer law.

Qualifications

• Experience in drafting legal documents such as pleadings and memoranda, with strong organizational skills and willingness to handle a heavy workload.
• Currently admitted to practice law in Kansas (multiple-state admission is a plus).
• At least 1 year of relevant experience at a law firm.
• Strong legal research skills; proficiency in LexisNexis is advantageous.
