Job Description: Associate Attorney - Remote

Candidates must reside in Ohio. We are seeking a full-time Associate Attorney to join our practice in Ohio. The role involves handling a broad range of legal issues related to consumer protection, including transactional and civil litigation matters. Since our headquarters are in New York, communication will be exclusively via telephone and electronic means (email, Microsoft Teams, etc.).

Responsibilities:

1. Maintain and supervise a diversified caseload of clients in Ohio.
2. Communicate with clients regarding their matters.
3. Draft pleadings, motions, legal memoranda, review and draft agreements.
4. Communicate with opposing parties to resolve or settle claims.
5. Conduct legal research on issues in contract law and other consumer law areas.

Work Location:

Remote, with the requirement to attend in person for court proceedings. PRIMARY RESIDENCE MUST BE IN OHIO.

Qualifications:

• Experience in drafting legal documents such as pleadings and memoranda.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to handle a heavy workload.
• Must be admitted to practice law in Ohio (multiple-state admission is a plus).
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant law firm experience.
• Strong legal research skills; proficiency in LexisNexis is a plus.
