A growing civil litigation firm is seeking a defense attorney with insurance defense experience to join its team representing automotive manufacturers in product warranty litigation. The firm handles a high volume of cases in California state and federal courts, as well as arbitration. This is a fully remote role, with periodic in-person requirements for court appearances, vehicle inspections, and client meetings throughout California.

Responsibilities :

Handle product warranty and general liability defense litigation

Manage cases in state and federal court, and in arbitration

Draft pleadings, discovery, motions, and other litigation documents

Conduct legal research and analysis

Attend court hearings, inspections, depositions, and client meetings

Maintain effective communication with clients and opposing counsel

Qualifications :

Active license to practice law in California

Minimum 1 year of civil litigation experience, including insurance defense

Experience with product warranty or consumer protection litigation preferred

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Ability to work independently in a remote setting

Willingness to travel for in-person legal matters within California
