Associate Attorney - Real Estate Transactions (3+ Years Experience)
Starting Salary: $180,000 - $205,000
1700 Billable Hour Min.
I'm partnering with a highly regarded real estate practice seeking a talented attorney to join a growing team handling sophisticated, high-value transactions across a wide range of asset types and industries. This opportunity is ideal for a lawyer who enjoys complex deal work, meaningful client interaction, and the ability to take ownership of transactions from start to finish.
The Opportunity
This is a chance to join a collaborative, partner-led real estate practice representing a diverse client base that includes educational institutions, developers, public entities, utilities, and corporate organizations. The team handles notable acquisition, disposition, development, leasing, financing, and infrastructure-related matters and is looking for an attorney who can contribute immediately while continuing to grow professionally.
The team is open to considering attorneys at the junior, mid-level, senior associate, or counsel level, depending on experience.
What You'll Do
- Draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of real estate transaction documents.
- Advise clients on acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, easements, licenses, and financing matters.
- Lead and coordinate due diligence efforts, including title and survey review.
- Manage real estate closings and ensure all transaction workstreams are completed accurately and efficiently.
- Identify legal and business risks early and develop practical solutions.
- Work directly with clients and transaction counterparties throughout the deal lifecycle.
- Balance multiple matters simultaneously while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
- Provide commercially focused guidance that advances transactions and supports client objectives.
Required Qualifications
- JD from an ABA-accredited law school.
- Active bar admission, or eligibility for admission, in Washington.
- At least 3 years of relevant real estate transactional experience.
- Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to independently manage matters and proactively move transactions forward.
Preferred Experience
- Representation of buyers, sellers, developers, lenders, or borrowers in sophisticated real estate transactions.
- Commercial, industrial, or residential development experience.
- Drafting and negotiating complex acquisition, disposition, and development agreements.
- Real estate finance transaction experience.
- Coordinating and conducting due diligence, including title and survey review.
- Managing complex closings involving multiple stakeholders and parallel workstreams.
- Demonstrated ability to assess risk, exercise sound judgment, and provide business-oriented solutions.
- Strong academic credentials.
