Job summary

San Diego SHRM is seeking a full-time Associate Attorney to join its Nevada practice. The ideal candidate drafts pleadings and memoranda, manages a heavy caseload, and communicates with clients and opposing parties to advance matters.

The position is based from home with required travel for court appearances. Nevada admission is mandatory, and at least 1 year of law-firm experience is expected. Excellent writing and interpersonal skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Communicating with clients regarding their matters
• Drafting pleadings, motions, legal memoranda, and reviewing & drafting agreements
• Communicating with opposing parties to resolve or settle claims
• Legal research related to contract law and other consumer law issues
• Travel for in-court appearances while working from home

We are looking for a full-time Associate Attorney to join our firm's practice in Nevada. The ideal candidate is one who has experience drafting legal documents such as pleadings and legal memoranda, has strong organizational skills, and is willing to take on a heavy workload. This position imparts broad responsibilities and exposes you to a range of legal issues related to consumer protection, including transactional and civil litigation matters. Because our firm’s headquarters are in New York, this position entails communicating with our main office exclusively via telephone and electronic means (e-mail, Microsoft Teams, etc.).

Candidates must be currently located in Nevada to be considered for this position.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintaining and supervising a heavy & diversified caseload of the Firm’s clients in Nevada.
• Communicating with clients regarding their respective matters.
• Drafting pleadings, motions, legal memoranda, reviewing & drafting agreements, etc.
• Communicating with opposing parties to resolve/settle claims.
• Legal research related to simple and complex issues in contract law and other areas of consumer law.
• While this role is based from home, you will be required to travel for in court appearances.
