Strauss Malk & Feder LLP is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney to join our litigation team. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney with 2–5 years of litigation experience to gain meaningful responsibility, hands-on experience, and direct mentorship.

About the Position:

In this role, you’ll work closely with our litigation partner and be involved in all aspects of litigation. You’ll handle a diverse range of matters, including commercial disputes, business litigation, trust and estate matters, and general civil litigation. This is a full-time, in-office position based in Northbrook, Illinois, requiring on-site presence Monday through Friday.

Key Responsibilities:

• Draft motions, pleadings, discovery, legal memoranda, and correspondence.
• Conduct legal research and case analysis.
• Attend court hearings, depositions, mediations, and conferences.
• Participate in case strategy discussions and client meetings.
• Assist with trial preparation and trial support.
• Manage case files, deadlines, and client communications.

Qualifications:

• Licensed to practice law in Illinois.
• 2–5 years of litigation experience.
• Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and organizational abilities.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Professionalism, responsiveness, and a client-centered approach.

Position Requirements:

• This role requires in-office attendance five days per week.
