Job summary

Denzin Soltanzadeh LLC, a Chicago-based boutique law firm, seeks an associate attorney with 2+ years of litigation experience to join its Chicago practice. The ideal candidate has exposure to real estate matters and/or local government/municipal law, with a focus on trial and appellate advocacy.

The firm operates with a hybrid work arrangement and offers autonomy and collaboration within a small team. Ideal candidates bring strong writing and courtroom skills and a proactive approach to client

Qualifications

• J.D. and active Illinois law license (ARDC registered, in good standing).
• 2+ years of litigation experience.
• Real estate litigation or transactional exposure preferred.
• Local government/municipal law experience a plus.
• Strong writing, research, and courtroom skills.
• Ability to manage a caseload independently.

Responsibilities

• Manage litigation matters, including motion practice, discovery, and depositions
• Draft briefs, pleadings, and correspondence
• Appear in state and/or federal court
• Advise on real estate disputes as needed
• Support land banking and local government client matters
• Collaborate directly with partners and clients

Denzin Soltanzadeh LLC is a Chicago-based boutique law firm at the intersection of real estate, community development, and environmental law. We serve as lead counsel for land banks, local governments, and nonprofits, with a focus on novel strategies to acquire, manage, and repurpose abandoned, tax-delinquent, and other distressed properties. We are a small, collaborative firm that offers a hybrid work arrangement and significant flexibility and autonomy to our team.

We are seeking an associate attorney with 2+ years of litigation experience to join our Chicago practice. The ideal candidate has a solid litigation foundation and exposure to real estate matters and/or local government/municipal law.
