Job summary

Denzin Soltanzadeh LLC in Chicago seeks an associate attorney with 2+ years of litigation experience to join our real estate, local government, and environmental practice. We offer a hybrid work arrangement and significant flexibility and autonomy to our team.

The ideal candidate will manage litigation matters, draft briefs, and appear in state or federal court, while advising on real estate disputes and supporting land banking and local government matters.

Qualifications

• J.D. licensed to practice in Illinois (ARDC in good standing).
• 2+ years of litigation experience.
• Real estate litigation or transactional exposure preferred.
• Local government/municipal law experience a plus.
• Strong writing, research, and courtroom skills.
• Ability to manage a caseload independently.

Responsibilities

• Manage litigation matters, including motion practice, discovery, and depositions.
• Draft briefs, pleadings, and correspondence.
• Appear in state and/or federal court.
• Advise on real estate disputes as needed.
• Support land banking and local government client matters.
• Collaborate directly with partners and clients.

Denzin Soltanzadeh LLC is a Chicago-based boutique law firm at the intersection of real estate, community development, and environmental law. We serve as lead counsel for land banks, local governments, and nonprofits, with a focus on novel strategies to acquire, manage, and repurpose abandoned, tax-delinquent, and other distressed properties. We are a small, collaborative firm that offers a hybrid work arrangement and significant flexibility and autonomy to our team.

We are seeking an associate attorney with 2+ years of litigation experience to join our Chicago practice. The ideal candidate has a solid litigation foundation and exposure to real estate matters and/or local government/municipal law.

Responsibilities

• Manage litigation matters, including motion practice, discovery, and depositions
• Draft briefs, pleadings, and correspondence
• Appear in state and/or federal court
• Advise on real estate disputes as needed
• Support land banking and local government client matters
• Collaborate directly with partners and clients

Compensation & Benefits

Salary: $100,000 - $130,000
