Job summary

O’Hagan Meyer in Fresno, CA seeks an experienced Employment Advice and Counseling Attorney to handle a wide range of labor and employment matters for premier local and national employers.

The associate will join a diverse practice group handling litigation from single plaintiff cases to wage & hour class actions while advising on labor and employment matters. Flexible hybrid schedule and competitive compensation offered.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of civil litigation experience and 3+ years in labor and employment counseling.
• Experience drafting handbooks, training managers, and advising on HR policy compliance.
• Familiarity with Cal/OSHA regulations and safety program creation is preferred.
• Willing to engage in marketing to grow a client book.

This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney looking to handle a wide-range of labor & employment matters involving cutting-edge topics and premier, interesting clients. This associate will join a diverse practice group that handles litigation ranging from single plaintiff employment litigation to PAGA claims and wage & hour class actions while also advising an ever growing list of clients on all matters of labor and employment matters.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in civil litigation and at least 3+ years of significant advice and counseling work in labor and employment law.
• Experience with handling of employee leaves, drafting handbooks, providing managerial trainings, meeting with clients, familiarity with Cal/OSHA regulations and requirements, drafting safety programs for employers, assessing company HR policies and procedures to determine legal compliance, working with clients to reduce risk associated with employee terminations and restructuring, and other similar advice and counseling tasks.
• Able to assist with discovery, motions, and other litigation work on an as needed basis and handle multiple pre-litigation matters as needed.
• Willingness to engage in marketing efforts to help create and grow a book of business.
• Juris doctorate degree from an ABA accredited law school
• Must be license to practice in CA

Salary Range

$145,000 to $200,000
