Responsibilities

• Handle No-Fault and third-party liability insurance defense matters.
• Conduct legal research and analyze statutes, regulations, and case law.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery, and other documents.
• Develop case strategies and advise clients.
• Conduct discovery and assist with depositions, hearings, mediations, and litigation.
• Negotiate settlements and communicate with opposing counsel and insurers.
• Manage assigned cases and meet deadlines and client expectations.
• Collaborate with attorneys and support staff to manage caseloads.
• Maintain high attention to detail while handling multiple matters.

This position is ideal for an attorney with experience handling No-Fault and third-party liability defense matters who is looking to grow their litigation practice in a collaborative and established legal environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle No-Fault and third-party liability insurance defense matters
• Conduct legal research and analyze applicable statutes, regulations, and case law
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, correspondence, discovery, and other legal documents
• Develop case strategies and provide sound legal advice to clients
• Conduct discovery and assist with depositions, hearings, mediations, and other litigation proceedings
• Negotiate settlements and communicate effectively with opposing counsel, insurance carriers, and other parties
• Manage assigned cases and meet applicable deadlines and client expectations
• Collaborate with attorneys and legal support staff to effectively manage caseloads
• Maintain strong attention to detail while handling multiple matters simultaneously

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
• Admission to the State Bar of Michigan and in good standing
• Prior experience handling No-Fault and/or third-party liability defense matters
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong negotiation and case-management abilities
• Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with a legal team
• Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
