Associate Attorney – Automobile Negligence Defense

Location: Troy, Michigan (In-Office)

McGraw Morris Masud is seeking an Associate Attorney (2–4 years of experience) to join our Troy office with a primary focus on automobile negligence defense (1st and 3rd party), premises liability, and related personal injury litigation. This position is ideal for an attorney who is comfortable managing files, working with insurance carriers, and developing strong litigation skills in Michigan courts.

Responsibilities

• Defend automobile negligence, premises liability, and related personal injury matters on behalf of insureds and insurers
• Manage a litigation caseload from assignment through resolution
• Draft pleadings, discovery responses, and dispositive motions
• Take and defend depositions (including party, witness, and expert depositions)
• Attend hearings, facilitation/mediation, and case evaluation proceedings
• Communicate effectively with clients, insurance adjusters, and opposing counsel
• Evaluate liability and damage exposure and provide case strategy recommendations
• 2–4 years of experience in automobile negligence and/or insurance defense litigation
• Active member in good standing with the State Bar of Michigan
• Experience with Michigan discovery rules, case evaluation, and motion practice
• Strong legal writing and analytical skills
• Ability to manage deadlines and a moderate to high volume caseload
