Associate Attorney - Insurance Coverage (New York, NY)

Primary duties include:

• File review and legal analysis of claims and causes of action
• Extensive legal research and drafting of substantial briefs, memos, pleadings, and appellate briefs
• Annual billable amount of 1950 hours required
• Representing clients in court, arbitrations, and depositions
• Drafting and responding to discovery requests
• Expert witness retention and collaboration
• Trial preparation and attendance
• Some travel may be required

Requirements:

• 1+ years’ experience in insurance coverage preferred, but not required
• J.D. degree from an ABA-accredited law school
• Admitted to practice in New York; other states a plus but not required
• Superior analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong research, written, and oral communication skills
• Strong work ethic with the ability to self-manage and work in a team
• Prompt responsiveness to email and phone inquiries
• Excellent client service skills and telephone manner
