Johnson & Bell seeks a full-time Associate Attorney for our Indiana Office. You will provide litigation support across medical malpractice, premises liability, general negligence, and related areas, including research, motion drafting, hearings, and depositions.

The role is on-site with potential regional travel and later hybrid arrangements after six months of evaluation. The position requires a JD, Indiana or reciprocal bar admission, and at least two years of civil litigation experience, with

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Admitted to Illinois Bar or Indiana Bar, or a state with reciprocal admission.
• 3+ years' experience in civil litigation or trial practice.
• Deposition experience is a plus.
• Experience with insurance defense, premises liability, health care, or transportation litigation is a plus.
• JD and at least two years of litigation experience required for consideration.

Responsibilities

• Handle day-to-day litigation tasks for medical malpractice, premises liability, general negligence, personal injury, construction defects, and transportation disputes.
• Conduct legal research and draft motions and briefs.
• Attend hearings and depositions; represent clients in court.
• Participate in client meetings and collaborate with other attorneys and staff.

Position Summary

Johnson & Bell seeks a full-time Associate Attorney to join our Indiana Office. As an Associate, you will be responsible for day-to-day tasks related to providing legal representation and counsel in litigation related to medical malpractice, premises liability, general negligence, personal injury, construction defects, transportation incidents, and other types of legal disputes. Your work will include conducting legal research, drafting legal documents such as motions and briefs, attending hearings, conducting depositions, representing clients in court, participating in client meetings, and collaborating with other legal professionals. These are on-site positions that involve regular courtroom work. There is potential for regional travel during trials and related to client work.

Qualifications

Required

• Strong legal research and analytical skills

• Thorough understanding of and commitment to ethical practice


• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school

Compensation

Salary Range: $110,000 - $150,000 annually

Work Location

This position is based in our Indiana office. Hybrid work arrangements may be available following training and evaluation after six (6) months.
