Kiernan Trebach LLP in Philadelphia, PA seeks an Associate Attorney with 3–5 years of Civil Litigation Defense experience to defend a variety of civil matters from inception to trial. The role is hybrid, offering substantial exposure to General Liability, Personal Injury, Product Liability and Professional Liability, with opportunities for growth and bar-admission flexibility across PA and NJ.

Candidates must hold a JD, active PA bar, and preferably NJ bar transfer or waiver; strong writing,

Qualifications

• Active Pennsylvania Bar License required.
• Active New Jersey Bar or ability to transfer UBE scores preferred.
• Willingness to waive into NJ Bar; multiple bars ideal.
• Experience in Civil Litigation Defense and insurance defense preferred.
• Experience writing motions, summarizing depositions and assisting trial prep.

Responsibilities

• Defend a variety of civil matters including general liability, personal injury, product liability, and professional liability.
• Handle civil matters from inception to settlement or trial.
• Draft motions, summarize depositions, and assist with trial preparation.
• Collaborate with team while maintaining independence when appropriate.

The role

We are seeking a new Attorney with 3-5 years of Civil Litigation Defense experience to join our team. Your role will be to defend a variety of Civil matters in our growing Philadelphia, PA practice.

What You Will Bring

• Juris Doctorate Degree
• Experience with Insurance Defense clients.
• Experience writing motions and other legal memoranda, summarizing depositions and trial preparation is preferred.
• The ability to work independently from suit inception to settlement/trial is preferred.

Required Education & Licensure

• Active Pennsylvania Bar License (Required).
• Active New Jersey Bar, and/or ability to transfer UBE scores (Preferred).
• Being able to waive into the New Jersey Bar and having multiple bars is ideal, however, we are willing to consider candidates with only one bar.
