The ideal candidate will manage a diverse defense caseload involving premises liability, property damage, personal injury and product liability, with direct client interaction and hands-on courtroom experience.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Bar admission in NJ, NYC or PA.
• Experience in general liability, casualty defense, or personal injury defense.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
• Strong legal research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Case Management: Handle all aspects of insurance defense and general liability litigation from inception through resolution or trial.
• Pleadings & Motions: Draft persuasive legal documents, including answers, preliminary objections, motions for summary judgment, and discovery requests/responses.
• Depositions: Conduct and defend depositions of plaintiffs, fact witnesses, corporate representatives, and expert witnesses.
• Court Appearances: Represent clients in court for hearings, pre-trial conferences, status conferences, and oral arguments.
• Strategy & Evaluation: Analyze liability, evaluate damages, and formulate clear defense strategies in consultation with senior partners and insurance carriers.
• Client & Carrier Reporting: Maintain regular, clear, and timely reporting to insurance claims adjusters and corporate clients in compliance with billing and reporting guidelines.
• Settlement & Alternative Dispute Resolution: Prepare comprehensive mediation statements, negotiate settlements, and participate in arbitrations or mediations.
