The position reports to a partner, with collaborative support from a small team. Location is primarily in-office in the Minneapolis–Saint Paul area, with limited remote flexibility.
Position Overview The firm is seeking a very junior attorney to join its foreclosure practice. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent law school graduate or an attorney with limited experience who is looking to gain hands-on experience in real estate and foreclosure law. The ideal candidate will start by handling foundational legal work, including drafting complaints and reviewing foreclosure-related documents, with the potential to develop into the lead junior associate within the non-judicial foreclosure group.

Recent law school graduate strongly preferred. Up to a few years of experience (entry-level role). Interest in real estate and foreclosure law. Real estate background is helpful but not required. Able to learn quickly and work independently. Looking for long-term growth and practical legal experience.
While the work may not be highly complex initially, it offers: Significant exposure to real estate law. Practical foreclosure experience. Strong foundational training for a young attorney entering the legal profession.
Reports directly to a partner. Works closely with a non-attorney pre-sale manager and their team of approximately 7-8 employees. Litigation assignments will primarily come from Sam and other attorneys. Will collaborate daily with a team of approximately 8-9 professionals. This hire will be the fourth attorney in the Minneapolis-area office.
Casual dress environment (business attire only when clients are visiting). Collaborative and supportive office with substantial administrative staff support. Attorneys are expected to work independently; the firm does not micromanage. Professional but not overly corporate culture. Hard-working yet relaxed office environment. Firm operations span Minnesota, Michigan, and Indiana, though this role will focus almost exclusively on Minnesota work.
Location: St. Paul, Minnesota (Minneapolis area)
Work Arrangement Primarily in-office position. Non-judicial foreclosure work requires handling original documents, making an office presence important. Firm generally operates as an in-person workplace. Some remote flexibility may be available on occasion. Preferred arrangement is 100% office-based.
Base salary: $70,000 to $85,000. Up to $90,000 for the right candidate. No bonus structure currently in place. Approximately 40-hour work week. No billable hour requirements.
