  • LL.M. in Taxation preferred, but not required.

Job description

Our client is seeking an Associate Attorney to join their established Estates & Trusts Practice Group. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney who is passionate about helping individuals and families protect their assets, achieve their estate planning goals, and navigate trust and probate matters with confidence.

Responsibilities
  • Draft and implement comprehensive estate plans
  • Prepare wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, powers of attorney, and related documents
  • Advise clients on estate, gift, and tax planning strategies
  • Handle trust administration matters
  • Manage probate and estate administration proceedings
  • Communicate effectively with clients, fiduciaries, and other professionals
  • Deliver exceptional client service while maintaining high professional standards
Qualifications

  • Active membership in good standing with the Maryland Bar
  • 1 years of experience in estate planning, trusts and estates, taxation, or a related field
  • Strong drafting, analytical, and organizational skills

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to perform essential duties satisfactorily with reasonable accommodations
  • Work is generally performed sitting, talking, hearing, and typing
  • This is a high-volume screen-based role, requiring constant, prolonged computer usage, including but not limited to: reviewing documents, managing visual content, and attending virtual meetings
  • Visual acuity required for computer use, data analysis, and extended reading
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Frequent use of hands and fingers for typing and document handling
