Our client, a highly respected national labor and employment law firm, seeks an Associate Attorney to join its Employment Litigation practice in Boston. The role offers meaningful litigation responsibility, client interaction, and long-term growth within a collaborative environment.

The candidate will handle state and federal disputes, draft pleadings and discovery, take depositions, and work with management on compliance issues. Hybrid work arrangement.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school with strong academic record.
• Active Massachusetts Bar admission in good standing.
• 3–7 years of substantive labor and employment litigation experience.
• Experience handling employment-related disputes including discrimination, harassment, termination, retaliation and wage/hour matters.
• Strong pleadings, motions, discovery drafting experience.
• Experience taking and defending depositions.
• Court and arbitration appearances in state, federal courts, and arbitrations.
• Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Represent employers in a broad range of employment litigation matters in court, agency proceedings, and arbitration.
• Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery responses; respond to examinations.
• Conduct witness interviews, perform legal research, and case analysis.
• Take and defend depositions; assist with trial and hearing preparation.
• Develop litigation strategy; advise clients on compliance and risk management.
• Collaborate with colleagues across the firm on complex matters.
• Manage case files and deadlines from inception through resolution.

This is an outstanding opportunity for a motivated attorney to handle sophisticated employment disputes while working closely with employers on complex workplace matters. The role offers meaningful litigation responsibility, client interaction, and long-term growth within a collaborative and entrepreneurial environment.

Candidate Profile

• JDfrom an accredited law school with a strong academic record
• Active Massachusetts Bar admission, in good standing
• 3-7 years of substantive labor and employment litigation experience
• Experience handling employment-related disputes involving claims of discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, retaliation, wage and hour matters, and other workplace-related issues
• Strong experiencedrafting pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, and related litigation documents
• Experience taking and defending depositions
• Experience appearing in state and federal courts, as well as arbitration proceedings
• Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent legal writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills
• Experience providing employment counseling and advice to management teams is preferred
• Large law firm or employment boutique experience preferred
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team

Compensation & Benefits

Competitive Salary: $230,000 - $265,000 annually, commensurate with experience, qualifications, and class year.
