Job summary

Scalable Sourcing, a leading national labor and employment law firm, seeks an Associate Attorney to join its Employment Litigation practice in Boston. Hybrid work arrangement with meaningful courtroom and advisory responsibilities, handling sophisticated disputes for management clients across industries.

The ideal candidate has 3–7 years of labor and employment litigation experience, strong writing and oral advocacy, and capacity to manage multiple matters efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • JD from an accredited law school with a strong academic record.
  • Massachusetts Bar admission, in good standing.
  • 3–7 years of labor and employment litigation experience.
  • Experience handling employment-related disputes including discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, retaliation, wage and hour matters.
  • Experience drafting pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses.
  • Experience taking and defending depositions.
  • Experience appearing in state and federal courts, as well as arbitration proceedings.
  • Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent legal writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills.
  • Experience providing employment counseling and advice to management teams is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Represent employers in state and federal courts, administrative proceedings, and arbitration.
  • Draft and respond to pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
  • Conduct witness interviews, legal research, and case analysis.
  • Take and defend depositions and assist with trial and hearing preparation.
  • Develop litigation strategy and work directly with clients to achieve favorable outcomes.
  • Advise employers on employment law compliance and workplace risk management issues.
  • Collaborate with attorneys across the firm on complex matters.
  • Manage case files and litigation deadlines from inception through resolution.

Candidate Profile
  • JDfrom an accredited law school with a strong academic record
  • Active Massachusetts Bar admission, in good standing
  • 3-7 years of substantive labor and employment litigation experience
  • Experience handling employment-related disputes involving claims of discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, retaliation, wage and hour matters, and other workplace-related issues
  • Strong experiencedrafting pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, and related litigation documents
  • Experience taking and defending depositions
  • Experience appearing in state and federal courts, as well as arbitration proceedings
  • Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent legal writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills
  • Experience providing employment counseling and advice to management teams is preferred
  • Large law firm or employment boutique experience preferred
