Job summary

Top Echelon LLC's Boston office seeks an experienced Associate Attorney to join its Labor & Employment Practice Group in a hybrid setup. You will represent employers in state and federal employment litigation, draft pleadings, take depositions, and advise on compliance while managing multiple matters.

The ideal candidate has 3–7 years of labor and employment litigation experience, a JD from an accredited law school, and Massachusetts Bar admission in good standing.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school with a strong academic record.
• Active Massachusetts Bar admission in good standing.
• 3-7 years of substantive labor and employment litigation experience.
• Experience handling employment-related disputes including discrimination, harassment, termination, retaliation, wage/hour.
• Strong experience drafting pleadings, motions, discovery requests/responses and related litigation documents.
• Experience taking and defending depositions.
• Experience appearing in state and federal courts, and arbitration proceedings.
• Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent legal writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills.
• Experience providing employment counseling to management teams is preferred.
• Large law firm or employment boutique experience preferred.
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Represent employers in a broad range of employment litigation matters in state and federal courts, admin proceedings, and arbitration.
• Draft and respond to pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
• Conduct witness interviews, legal research, and case analysis.
• Take and defend depositions and assist with trial and hearing preparation.
• Develop litigation strategy and work directly with clients to achieve favorable outcomes.
• Advise employers on employment law compliance and workplace risk management.
• Collaborate with attorneys across the firm's labor and employment practice on complex matters.
• Manage case files and litigation deadlines from inception through resolution.

Compensation & Benefits

Competitive Salary: $230,000 - $265,000 annually, commensurate with experience, qualifications, and class year.
