  • Represent lenders, arrangers, agents, and borrowers in syndicated and bilateral credit facilities.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of loan and finance documents.
  • Advise on secured lending structures, including first lien, second lien, and unsecured transactions.
  • Support leveraged acquisitions, revolving credit facilities, and term loan financings.
  • Conduct and manage due diligence processes, including organizational and lien review.
  • Coordinate and execute complex deal closings.
  • Negotiate third-party deliverables such as control agreements and related instruments.
  • Collaborate closely with clients across industries, including financial institutions, private equity sponsors, and mid-market companies.

Location: Cleveland Ohio/ Columbus Ohio

A highly regarded and rapidly expanding debt finance practice is seeking a talented associate with 3-6 years of experience to join a dynamic and collaborative team. This is an opportunity to work on sophisticated, high-value transactions alongside experienced practitioners in a practice known for handling complex financings across a diverse client base.

The Opportunity

You will play a central role in advising lenders, borrowers, and financial sponsors on a wide range of financing matters. The work is both varied and substantive, offering exposure to middle-market transactions as well as select large-cap and cross-border deals. This position provides meaningful responsibility, direct client interaction, and a clear path for professional growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Represent lenders, arrangers, agents, and borrowers in syndicated and bilateral credit facilities
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of loan and finance documents
  • Advise on secured lending structures, including first lien, second lien, and unsecured transactions

  • Ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills
Requirements
  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
  • Active bar admission in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
  • Prior experience working in a law firm is required
Compensation

Competitive compensation package with a base salary in the range of $220,000-$250,000, plus performance-based bonus potential.
