Law Firms is seeking an experienced attorney to join its nationally recognized Data Privacy and AI Governance practice in the New York area. This hybrid role offers sophisticated privacy and AI work, meaningful client exposure, and growth within a stable national platform.

The ideal candidate will have a JD, 3–8 years in privacy/cybersecurity/AI governance, and bar admission, with strong writing, analytical, and client-service skills. Privacy certifications are a plus.

Qualifications

  • JD from an accredited law school
  • 3–8 years in data privacy, cybersecurity, AI governance, or related area
  • Admission to state and federal bar
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. privacy laws (CCPA/CPRA) and other state regs
  • Experience advising on privacy compliance, cybersecurity, or AI regulations
  • Privacy litigation experience is a plus
  • GDPR familiarity is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Advise clients on data privacy compliance, cybersecurity, and AI governance.
  • Manage sophisticated matters independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Develop and grow the practice through business development and client relations.
  • Draft and argue privacy-related briefs, memos, and filings.

Our client is a rapidly growing, nationally recognized law firm with a strong reputation for complex litigation, technology, and emerging legal issues. The firm continues to invest heavily in attorney development, innovation, and long-term career growth.

The firm’s expanding Data Privacy and AI Governance practice is seeking an experienced attorney to join its national team. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney who wants sophisticated privacy and AI work, meaningful client exposure, and the opportunity to help grow an emerging practice area within a stable national platform.

This is a flexible hybrid opportunity in the New York area.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • 3–8 years of experience practicing in data privacy, cybersecurity, AI governance, or a closely related area.
  • Admission to at least one state and federal bar.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. privacy laws, including CCPA/CPRA and other state privacy regulations.
  • Experience advising clients on data privacy compliance, cybersecurity, or emerging AI regulations.
  • Experience with privacy litigation, including data breach, TCPA, BIPA, wiretapping, or other privacy-related matters, is a plus.
  • Familiarity with GDPR and cross-border data privacy issues is preferred.
  • Strong legal writing, analytical, communication, and client-service skills.
  • Ability to independently manage sophisticated matters in a fast-paced environment.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with an interest in business development and helping grow a practice.
  • Privacy certifications such as CIPP/US, CIPP/E, CIPM, or CIPT are a plus.
