Watts & Associates is working discreetly with a highly regarded AM Law 50 law firm seeking a Corporate M&A Associate to join its Dallas, TX office.

This Dallas opportunity is suited to a mid-level associate who wants hands-on responsibility across M&A, private equity, venture capital, securities and general corporate matters. The successful candidate will be a key deal-team member, drafting and negotiating complex documents and running major aspects of transactions from diligence through closing.

The Role

The successful attorney will support and lead key components of Dallas - Corporate M&A Associate (Mid-Level) matters, including:

• Represent public and private clients in M&A and private equity transactions.
• Draft and negotiate acquisition, equity and related investment agreements.
• Produce client-ready transaction documents.
• Run key aspects of transactions from due diligence through closing.
• Support venture capital, securities offering, securities compliance and general corporate matters.
• Coordinate effectively with clients, specialists and broader deal teams.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The firm is seeking a candidate with:

• Three to five years of relevant corporate transactional experience.
• Experience representing public and private clients in M&A and private equity matters.
• Hands-on drafting and negotiation experience for complex transactions and investment agreements.
• Experience serving as a key deal-team member and running transaction workstreams.
• Active membership in the Texas Bar.
• JD required; ideally attained from a T25 law school. Candidates from a T50 law school will also be considered where they achieved honors.

Preferred / advantageous: Experience spanning venture capital, securities offerings, securities compliance and general corporate matters is advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits

The anticipated base salary is $230,000-360,000, with actual pay varying based on factors including location and experience. Comprehensive benefits and bonuses.
