Job summary

Taylor Root seeks an attorney with 4–8 years of commercial/business litigation experience, licensed in Texas, to join our downtown Houston office. The role emphasizes a strong real estate component and involves handling a range of disputes and client matters.

Applicants should have a solid law school record and are expected to sustain high billable hours while contributing to the firm’s success. In-office position with firm-supported benefits and relocation where needed.

Qualifications

• 4–8 years of commercial/business litigation experience.
• Licensed to practice law in Texas.
• Strong academic record in law school.
• Real estate and/or title insurance experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Focus on commercial litigation matters with a significant real estate emphasis.
• Handle disputes, filings, and client counseling in related areas.
• Maintain strong billable hours as a performance metric (1800 hours annually).

Job description

• Practice Area Focus: Commercial Litigation, a lot of real estate work specifically but open to general commercial/business litigation backgrounds
• Compensation: $150,000 - $180,000 (largely dependent on experience)
• Billable Hours: 1800 annually to hit bonus
• Fully in office in downtown Houston
