Job summary

BCG Attorney Search is seeking an Associate Attorney for its Commercial Litigation Group in New York, NY. The successful candidate will manage complex litigation matters, engage in client contact, and gain courtroom experience.

The role requires a JD from an accredited law school, active NY Bar admission, and 2–4 years of commercial or real estate litigation experience in NY courts. Strong writing, research, and advocacy skills are essential, with a collaborative, client-focused approach.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Active New York Bar admission in good standing.
• 2–4 years of commercial and/or real estate litigation experience in NY state and/or federal courts.
• Strong brief writing, research, and oral advocacy skills.
• Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines; sound judgment.

Responsibilities

• Manage cases from investigation through resolution, including motion practice, discovery, depositions, court appearances, mediations, and trials.
• Draft pleadings, dispositive and discovery motions, and appellate briefs.
• Develop litigation strategy in collaboration with partners and clients; oversee discovery and e-discovery.
• Communicate directly with clients, experts, co-counsel, and opposing counsel; participate in settlement negotiations.
• Supervise and mentor junior team members and collaborate with staff.
