Office of the New York State Attorney General seeks a litigator to serve in the Poughkeepsie Regional Office as an Assistant Attorney General, based in Albany. The role focuses on affirmative proceedings in consumer protection, civil rights, and social justice, plus state-counsel duties across civil matters.

Applicants must be admitted to the NY bar, reside in NY, and commit to a two-year term. Salary ranges from $87,356 to $186,494 with comprehensive NY benefits.

Formación

• Two+ years of postgraduate civil litigation experience preferred.
• Admission to the New York State Bar and residency in NY required.
• Citizenship in the United States as required by Public Officers Law.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and litigate affirmative proceedings in consumer protection, civil rights and social justice.
• Represent the state in civil litigation in state courts and provide state-counsel support to agencies.
• Manage all phases from investigation through trial, including subpoenas, depositions, and settlements.
