Job summary

gpac's Oakland civil litigation firm is hiring an Associate Attorney to join its growing team in a hybrid role. You’ll gain hands-on experience across a broad civil docket, with close mentorship from seasoned attorneys and a clear path to grow your career.

You’ll be exposed to matters including product liability, breach of contract, medical malpractice, employment law, business litigation and torts. You will manage matters from intake through trial, draft pleadings, motions and discovery,

Qualifications

• 0-5 years of civil litigation experience.
• Active member in good standing of the California State Bar.
• Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Organizational ability to manage multiple matters.
• Collaborative, team-first approach.

Responsibilities

• Manage civil litigation matters from case intake through trial.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and legal memoranda.
• Conduct legal research and develop case strategy.
• Take and defend depositions and manage written discovery.
• Appear at hearings, mediations, and court conferences.
• Work directly with clients, partners, and experts.
