Qualifications

  • J.D. from an accredited law school
  • Active Washington State Bar membership in good standing
  • 2+ years of civil litigation experience
  • Experience in insurance defense and/or medical malpractice defense preferred
  • Strong knowledge of civil procedure, evidence, and litigation strategy
  • Excellent written and oral advocacy skills
  • Experience with discovery, depositions, and motion practice
  • Strong organizational and case management abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Associate Attorney | Medical Malpractice & Civil Litigation Defense
Seattle, WA | Hybrid

I'm partnering with a highly regarded litigation defense firm to identify an Associate Attorney who is passionate about medical malpractice defense and eager to develop as a trial lawyer. This is an outstanding opportunity to join a respected team that represents physicians, hospitals, healthcare systems, and other healthcare professionals in complex, high-stakes litigation throughout Washington.

The firm offers a level of hands-on experience that is increasingly difficult to find. Associates are entrusted with meaningful responsibility from day one and play an active role in all phases of litigation, including case strategy, client interaction, discovery, depositions, motion practice, courtroom appearances, and trial preparation.

The Practice

The successful candidate will primarily focus on defending healthcare providers and institutions in medical malpractice matters while also working on a variety of complex civil litigation cases, including:

  • Medical malpractice defense
  • Healthcare liability claims
  • General liability defense
  • Personal injury litigation
  • Wrongful death claims
  • Employment litigation
  • Commercial disputes
