Job summary

Jobot is offering a remote Associate Attorney role with a strong Civil Defense Litigation focus. The position provides a permanent opportunity to work on high-profile cases across various practice areas including insurance, personal injury, business, and commercial law.

The ideal candidate will have a JD, bar admission in CA or NV, and at least 1 year of relevant litigation experience, along with excellent research, writing, negotiation, and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the state bar and in good standing (CA or NV).
• Minimum of 1 year of litigation experience focusing on insurance, personal injury, business, and commercial law.
• Exceptional research and writing skills.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Billable hours target of 1850.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal representation in civil defense litigation including insurance, personal injury, business, and commercial disputes.
• Manage a caseload from inception through trial.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests and responses, and other legal documents.
• Conduct legal research and develop effective litigation strategies.
• Participate in depositions, hearings, trials, and arbitration proceedings.
• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and team members.
• Ensure compliance with all legal standards and regulations.

We are seeking a highly motivated and dynamic Associate Attorney with a strong interest and background in Civil Defense Litigation. This is a permanent position that provides an excellent opportunity to work on high-profile cases and gain invaluable experience in the legal industry. This role requires a strong understanding of insurance, litigation, personal injury, business, and commercial law.

• Provide legal representation to our clients in a variety of civil defense litigation matters including insurance, personal injury, business, and commercial disputes.


• Manage a caseload of civil litigation matters from inception through trial.


• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests and responses, and other legal documents.


• Conduct legal research and analysis to develop effective litigation strategies.


• Participate in depositions, hearings, trials, and arbitration proceedings.


• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and team members.


• Comply with all legal standards and regulations.


• Continually seek to understand and act upon attorney, client, and firm needs, concerns, and priorities.
