Henderson Scott US in Michigan seeks a licensed attorney for a fully remote, 40-hour-per-week role. You must reside in MI and be admitted to practice law in MI. This position exposes you to consumer protection matters, transactional and civil litigation, and client advocacy.

You will manage a heavy MI-based caseload, draft pleadings and contracts, communicate with clients and opposing parties, and conduct legal research on contract and consumer law. Minimum 1 year of law firm experience required.

This is a fully remote role in Michigan. You must live in MI and MUST BE admitted to practice law in MI.

**there are no billable hours and this is a strictly 40 hour per week role**

This position imparts broad responsibilities and exposes you to a range of legal issues related to consumer protection, including transactional and civil litigation matters.
You will manage litigation cases and resolve legal disputes on behalf of clients by developing agreements, negotiating contracts, setting claims and advocating for clients in court.

Responsibilities:

• Maintaining and supervising a heavy & diversified caseload of the firm's clients in MI
• Communicating with clients regarding their respective matters
• Drafting pleadings, motions, legal memoranda, reviewing & drafting agreements, etc.
• Communicating with opposing parties to resolve/settle claims
• Legal research related to simple and complex issues in contract law and other areas of consumer law

Qualifications:

• Must be currently admitted to practice law in MI (multi-state admission would be amazing)
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience at a law firm
