We are seeking an entry-level or experienced Associate Attorney to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic and a desire to work in Criminal Defense, Civil Litigation, and Family Law. This position requires excellent legal drafting skills and the ability to effectively negotiate on behalf of clients. The Associate Attorney will work closely with senior attorneys and clients to provide comprehensive legal support and guidance.

We are open to experienced attorneys working part-time or full-time. Compensation is based on the amount of candidate's experience, and anticipated hours worked. The Posted salary is for a full-time, entry-level position.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough legal research to support case preparation and strategy development.
• Draft, review, and revise legal documents, including contracts, pleadings, and briefs.
• Provide legal advice to clients regarding their specific case.
• Negotiate settlements and agreements on behalf of clients in various legal matters.
• Assist in the preparation of cases for trial, including gathering evidence and formulating arguments.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in laws and regulations relevant to practice areas.
• Collaborate with other attorneys within the firm to ensure comprehensive representation of clients.
• Manage a caseload effectively while meeting deadlines and maintaining high-quality work standards.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the bar in Indiana or Kentucky.
• Strong understanding of family law, estate planning, securities law, and tribal law regulations.
• Proven experience in legal research and writing skills with proficiency in using Lexis-Nexis.
• Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to advocate effectively for clients' interests.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and the ability to think critically under pressure.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while managing individual responsibilities effectively.
• Prior experience in a law office setting is preferred but not required.
