Job summary

Elite Sourcing, LLC. is partnering with a Bay Area law firm to hire an Insurance Coverage Attorney. The role involves handling coverage matters and related litigation, analyzing policies, and drafting opinions and pleadings.

You will conduct legal research, manage cases from start to finish, and interact with clients, carriers, and opposing counsel. The position supports hybrid and fully remote work models, with the office located in Lafayette, California.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Active California Bar admission required.
• Insurance coverage and/or litigation experience preferred.
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to independently manage multiple cases and deadlines.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work hybrid or remote.

Responsibilities

• Handle insurance coverage matters and related civil litigation.
• Analyze policies, coverage issues, and potential exposure.
• Draft coverage opinions, correspondence, pleadings, motions, discovery, and briefs.
• Conduct legal research and provide analysis on complex coverage issues.
• Manage case files from inception through resolution.
• Assist with discovery, depositions, hearings, mediations, and other proceedings.
• Communicate with clients, insurance carriers, opposing counsel, and others.
• Work independently while collaborating with partners on complex matters.

Associate Attorney – Hybrid/Remote

Elite Sourcing is working with an AV-rated Bay Area law firm seeking an Insurance Coverage Attorney to join its growing team. This role will handle insurance coverage matters and related litigation while taking on significant case-handling responsibilities.

About The Job:

• Handle insurance coverage matters and related civil litigation
• Analyze insurance policies, coverage issues, and potential exposure
• Draft coverage opinions, correspondence, pleadings, motions, discovery, and legal briefs
• Conduct legal research and provide analysis on complex insurance coverage issues
• Manage case files and assume significant responsibility for matters from inception through resolution
• Assist with discovery, depositions, hearings, mediations, and other litigation proceedings
• Communicate directly with clients, insurance carriers, opposing counsel, and other parties
• Work independently while collaborating with partners and other attorneys on complex matters
• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
• Active California Bar admission required
• Insurance coverage and/or litigation experience (Civil litigation, Insurance Defense, Construction Defect, etc.)
• Insurance coverage experience strongly preferred
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to independently manage multiple cases and deadlines
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to assume significant case-handling responsibilities
• Self-motivated with the ability to work effectively in a hybrid or fully remote environment

Compensation & Benefits
