Job summary

CAN Community Health, Inc. is seeking an Associate Attorney in Saint Petersburg, FL, to support a broad healthcare practice focusing on regulatory compliance, transactional matters, and health data initiatives.

The ideal candidate holds a J.D. and Florida Bar admission, with 2–5 years of healthcare law experience or strong interest, and will work on contract drafting, negotiations, and regulatory issues in a busy nonprofit setting. Full-time, on-site schedule.

Qualifications

  • J.D. from an accredited law school is required.
  • Admission to the Florida Bar or eligibility for admission is required.
  • 2–5 years of experience, or a strong demonstrated interest in healthcare law, health policy, or life sciences.

Responsibilities

  • Advise healthcare stakeholders on regulatory, transactional, and corporate matters.
  • Support a broad healthcare practice including regulatory compliance and health data initiatives.
  • Draft and negotiate contracts; handle health data and innovation issues.
  • Be prepared to adapt duties as needed in a dynamic nonprofit setting.

CAN Community Health is now hiring an Associate Attorney

Schedule: Full-Time | Day Shift | Monday-Thursday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm Friday 8:00 am - 12:00 pm

Pay Rate: $112,804 - $141,005 annually

What You’ll Do

The associate will advise healthcare stakeholders on a wide range of corporate, transactional, regulatory, and operational matters. The practice includes significant work involving healthcare transactions, academic medicine, clinical research, and the use and commercialization of health data.

The associate will support a broad healthcare practice, including:

  • Health Data & Innovation

Requirements
Education/Professional
  1. J.D. from an accredited law school and admission (or eligibility for admission) to the Florida Bar.
  2. 2-5 years of experience, or a strong demonstrated interest in healthcare law, health policy, or life sciences.
  3. Must be able to operate a motor vehicle and have valid insurance and driver’s license.
