Job summary

CAN Community Health Inc. seeks a Medical Front Desk Receptionist/Patient Experience Expert I to be the welcoming first contact. You’ll handle patient registration, scheduling and payments with accuracy and courtesy, ensuring timely access to care.

This full-time, day-shift role offers competitive pay, PTO, holidays, training support and a comprehensive benefits package. Experience in medical front office and EMR systems is preferred.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of one year experience in a medical office or front office setting.
  • Knowledge of electronic medical records systems preferred.
  • Must be able to operate a motor vehicle and have valid insurance and driver’s license.

Responsibilities

  • Represent CAN Community Health’s mission, vision, and values in all interactions.
  • Provide professional, confidential assistance to patients.
  • Accurately collect, process and post patient payments, including co-pays, deductibles and outstanding balance.
  • Verify and update patient insurance information and eligibility during check-in.
  • Explain billing policies, insurance coverage and patient financial responsibilities clearly.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state billing regulations and clinic policies.
  • Collaborate with Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) to resolve discrepancies and ensure payments are posted accurately.
  • Schedule and confirm patient appointments, managing follow-up for missing payments.
  • Respond to patient inquiries regarding billing, insurance and payment in a timely manner.
  • Assist with other front desk duties including answering phones and managing patient paperwork.

CAN Community Health is now hiring a Medical Front Desk Receptionist/Patient Experience Expert I

Schedule: Full-Time | Day Shift | Monday-Thursday 8:00 am - 6:00 pm Friday 8:30 am - 12:30 pm

Extended Hours Schedule (bi-monthly rotating schedule): Weekday 10 am - 8:00 pm; Weekend 8:30 am - 12:30 pm

Pay Rate: $23.27 - $26.76 hourly based on experience

What You’ll Do

The Patient Experience Expert I (Front Desk Receptionist) is to provide a welcoming first point of contact and ensure accurate patient registration, scheduling, and communication so that patients experience timely, respectful and coordinated access to care.
