Cochran, Davis & Associates, P.C. seeks an Associate Attorney with 2-5+ years of litigation experience, preferably in insurance defense, to join our growing team in the South Bay area.

From day one, associates are treated as true members of the litigation team, handling matters from pre-suit evaluation through trial with mentorship from seasoned litigators. Flexible work-from-home options available.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Active member in good standing with the California State Bar (or pending admission).
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and memoranda.
• Appear in court for law and motion hearings and case management conferences.
• Take and defend depositions (commensurate with experience).
• Analyze cases and assist in developing litigation strategy.
• Participate in trial preparation and trial.
• Attend and assist with mediations, (commensurate with experience).
• Work directly with partners and senior attorneys on complex matters.

Associate Litigation Attorney (2-5 Plus Years Experience)

Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Associate Attorney with 2 to 5 or more years of litigation experience, ideally in insurance defense, to join our growing litigation team. This position is best suited for a mid-level attorney who can step into an active caseload, exercise sound judgment, and take ownership of assignments while continuing to sharpen trial skills through collaboration and mentorship from seasoned litigators.

From day one, associates are treated as true members of the litigation team. You will be actively involved in all phases of litigation, from pre-suit evaluation and strategy through discovery, law and motion, depositions, trial preparation, and court appearances, with increasing responsibility and autonomy based on performance and initiative.
