Role Description

The Associate Attorney will be a full-time, on-site team member based in Pittsburgh, PA. This role involves drafting and reviewing legal documents, conducting legal research, and providing clear, well-founded legal advice to clients. The Associate Attorney will support matters in business law, estate planning, litigation, and property transactions, as well as labor and employment issues as needed. Day-to-day tasks include preparing for and attending client meetings, negotiating agreements, assisting with court filings and hearings, and collaborating with partners and colleagues to develop effective case strategies. The role also includes maintaining organized case files, meeting deadlines, and contributing to firm initiatives and professional development activities.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Law, with the ability to analyze statutes, case law, and regulations.
• Experience or coursework in Labor and Employment Law, including advising on workplace policies and disputes.
• Proficiency in providing Legal Advice to individuals and businesses, with sound judgment and client-focused communication.
• Advanced Research skills, including fact-finding, legal research tools, and clear written analysis.
• Effective Negotiation skills to handle settlements, contracts, and dispute resolutions.
• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and admission (or eligibility for admission) to the Pennsylvania Bar.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong drafting and editing abilities.
• High level of professionalism, ethical standards, and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple matters, prioritize tasks, and work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Prior experience in business law, estate planning, litigation, or real estate/property transactions is preferred.
