Role Description

The Associate Attorney role is a full-time, on-site position based in Philadelphia, PA. This role involves managing a caseload related to creditors’ rights, including drafting pleadings, motions, and other legal documents, as well as appearing in court and at hearings as needed. The Associate Attorney will conduct legal research, analyze case law and regulations, and provide clear legal advice to clients and internal stakeholders. Day-to-day responsibilities include negotiating with opposing counsel or other parties, supporting litigation strategy, and working closely with senior attorneys and support staff to ensure timely and compliant case handling. The role also includes maintaining accurate case records and contributing to firm initiatives that support quality, compliance, and client service.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Law, with experience or coursework relevant to creditors’ rights or related practice areas.
• Knowledge of Labor and Employment Law or related regulatory frameworks, with the ability to identify and address legal risks.
• Ability to provide clear, practical Legal Advice to clients, colleagues, and stakeholders.
• Proficiency in legal Research, including case law, statutes, regulations, and procedural rules.
• Effective Negotiation skills, with experience resolving disputes or reaching settlements in a professional setting.
• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and active bar admission in Pennsylvania (or eligibility for admission within a defined timeframe).
• Strong written and oral advocacy skills, including drafting litigation documents and presenting arguments in court.
• High level of professional integrity, attention to detail, and commitment to compliance and client service.
• Ability to manage multiple matters, prioritize deadlines, and work collaboratively in an on-site team environment.
• Prior experience in creditors’ rights, collections, bankruptcy, or commercial litigation is preferred but not required.
