Fisher Patterson Sayler & Smith, LLP, a midsize civil litigation defense law firm, is seeking an associate for its Overland Park office. Fisher Patterson is currently ranked by U.S. News’ Best Lawyers as a First Tier law firm in Municipal Defense and Civil Rights Litigation, as well as Labor & Employment Litigation.

The candidate should be licensed and in good standing in Kansas and Missouri, with one to three years of litigation experience in both state and federal courts.

The ideal candidate will have a background in civil rights, employment law and general tort defense with a strong academic record and superior writing skills.

Responsibilities include handling all aspects of litigation, depositions, motion practice, and trial. Salary is negotiable and commensurate with experience.

Writing sample is required. Transcripts required with less than 3 years' experience.
