We're Hiring: Associate Attorney – Bankruptcy (Remote – VA Licensed)

Remote | Northern Virginia (Fairfax County area preferred)

Full-Time | Permanent | $70,000 – $90,000 per year

Brock & Scott, PLLC is a rapidly growing regional law firm and a trusted leader in creditors’ rights and default servicing. We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Associate Attorney with an active Virginia law license to join our dynamic legal team and handle bankruptcy and civil litigation matters from inception to resolution.

What You’ll Do

• Handle a high-volume caseload efficiently and accurately across bankruptcy, collection, and civil litigation.
• Draft and review legal pleadings, motions, and correspondence.
• Attend hearings (virtually and/or in-person) across Virginia, as needed.
• Communicate effectively with clients, court personnel, and internal teams.
• Analyze case law, conduct research, and provide expert legal advice.
• Partner with the Managing Attorney to report on progress and outcomes.

What You Bring

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Active Virginia license to practice law (in good standing).
• 0–3 years’ experience in bankruptcy, collections, or civil law litigation.
• Strong legal research, writing, and oral communication skills.
• Exceptional time management and organizational ability.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and comfort working in a digital-first environment.

Nice-to-Haves

• Licensure in any of the following states: GA, SC, TN, FL, MD, MI, OH, or UBE passage.
• Experience with adversary proceedings, mediation, or payment change notices.
• Familiarity with legal case management tools and CRM platforms.
• Ability to attend in-person depositions or hearings as needed.
• Background working in deadline-driven, high-volume legal settings.
