Velo Law is a multi-state Creditors’ Rights law firm, headquartered in Grand Rapids, Michigan, practicing in Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, and Montana. We are seeking a full-time Associate Attorney. The Associate Attorney will be responsible for attending 5 to 15 civil court hearings throughout Indiana each week, either virtually or in person, preparing legal pleadings, conducting legal research, and negotiating settlements with opposing counsel.

Qualifications:

• Dependable with a strong court and work ethic.
• Detail-oriented and well-organized.
• Ability to gather, compile information, analyze data, and prepare reports.
• Ability to multi-task and work efficiently in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment.
• Committed to understanding the interworking of a specialized field.
• Ability to interpret and implement laws, regulations, and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Team player capable of communicating effectively at all levels.
• Adept in Microsoft Office, Windows, LexisNexis, and Westlaw.
• Works with managing attorney to report all activities and results.

Education and Experience:

• Juris Doctorate.
• Admitted to the Indiana State Bar (admission in Montana, Ohio, and Michigan is a plus).
• Moral fitness.
