Job summary

Position Overview:

Boutique construction law firm located in Manhattan with a prominent national practice seeks an associate attorney, with not less than five (5)years of transactional experience, with a background in construction law and/or real estate financing preferred. Ideal candidates should be familiar with large scale construction contracts, including design professional and consultant agreements.Familiarity with complementary construction areas, such as bonding, insurance, and adjoining property owner issues, or construction loans, is beneficial, though not required.Candidates must have a demonstrable interest in large scale real estate development, design and construction contract work.

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and admission to the New York State Bar
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in transactional law, with a preference for construction law and/or real estate financing.
• Proven ability to insightfully draft, negotiate and analyze complex contracts and agreements
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and within a collaborative team environment
• Base salary range of $150,000 – $250,000, commensurate with experience and other job-related factors permitted by law
