Qualifications

• Active California State Bar membership is required.
• Experience handling plaintiff-side civil matters is essential.
• Strong legal research and writing skills are required.
• Experience with depositions and discovery is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of plaintiff-side personal injury, employment, products liability, consumer, and civil litigation matters.
• Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery responses, and other litigation documents.
• Develop case strategies by evaluating liability, damages, evidence, and applicable legal theories.
• Prepare for and conduct depositions of parties, witnesses, experts, and other relevant individuals.
• Handle written discovery, including interrogatories, requests for production, requests for admission, and document review.
• Participate in settlement negotiations, mediations, hearings, and case conferences.
• Prepare cases for trial by organizing evidence, developing witness examinations, and coordinating litigation logistics.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and internal legal teams throughout the litigation process.

• Strong knowledge of civil procedure, discovery rules, motion practice, and litigation strategy.


• Hands-on experience preparing for and participating in depositions.


• Excellent legal research, writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills.


• Ability to manage multiple matters, deadlines, and case priorities with strong attention to detail.


• Demonstrated ability to work directly with clients and collaborate effectively with legal professionals.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Experience taking or defending depositions independently.


• Experience with trial preparation, hearings, mediations, or trial participation.


• Background handling complex employment litigation or class and representative actions.


• Experience with expert witnesses, damages analysis, or electronically stored information.


• Established record of favorable settlements, dispositive motion results, or litigation outcomes.


• Familiarity with legal case management, e-discovery, and litigation support platforms.
