Ideal candidates have 6–7 years of NJ family law experience, active NJ Bar admission, and strong litigation, writing, and client-management skills. NY experience is a plus but not required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6-7 years of New Jersey family law experience.
• Active New Jersey Bar admission required.
• Strong litigation, research, and writing skills.
• Excellent client management and negotiation abilities.
• Able to independently manage busy family-law caseload.
• New York family law experience and/or NY Bar admission is a plus, but not required.
• Existing portable book of business is advantageous but not required.

Responsibilities

• Handle a broad range of New Jersey family and matrimonial law matters.

• Represent clients in New Jersey courts, including hearings, motions, conferences, and other proceedings.

Family Law Associate Attorney – Livingston, NJ

A well-established New Jersey law firm is seeking an experienced Family Law Associate Attorney to join its growing practice in Livingston, NJ. This is an excellent opportunity for an accomplished family law attorney looking to take on sophisticated matters, work directly with clients, and build a long-term career within a highly regarded practice.

This is a full-time, in-office position, five days per week.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle a broad range of New Jersey family and matrimonial law matters
• Manage cases through all stages of litigation
• Represent clients in New Jersey courts, including hearings, motions, conferences, and other proceedings
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, settlement agreements, and other legal documents
• Conduct legal research and develop case strategy
• Handle discovery, negotiations, and settlement discussions
• Maintain direct communication with clients, opposing counsel, and the courts
• Work collaboratively with partners, associates, and support staff

Compensation

Compensation will be determined based on factors including the candidate's years of New Jersey family law experience, hands-on experience, reputation within the family law community, and any portable business.
