Qualifications

  • Ability to provide practical, well-reasoned Legal Advice that aligns with client goals and risk tolerance.
  • Proficient Research skills for case law analysis, fact investigation, and preparation of legal arguments.
  • Effective Negotiation skills for resolving disputes, drafting settlement agreements, and representing clients in mediations or informal conferences.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct legal research and draft motions, pleadings, contracts, and client communications.
  • Prepare case strategies in collaboration with senior attorneys and manage case files.
  • Attend hearings or mediations and provide legal advice to clients as needed.
  • Track deadlines and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective representation.

Role Description The Associate Attorney will handle a variety of legal matters, with a focus on family law and related practice areas. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting legal research, drafting motions, pleadings, contracts, and client communications, and preparing case strategies in collaboration with senior attorneys. The role involves providing legal advice to clients, participating in negotiations, attending hearings or mediations, and supporting all phases of litigation and dispute resolution. The Associate Attorney will also manage case files, track deadlines, and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective representation. This is a full-time, hybrid role based in Houston, TX, with some work-from-home flexibility.

Qualifications

  • Commitment to ethical practice, professional development, and collaborative teamwork in a hybrid work environment.
  • Prior experience in litigation, family law, or related practice areas is preferred but not strictly required.
